END OF YEAR EXHIBITION - My Portfolio
The Barras Art and Design Centre played host to the Glasgow Clyde College end of year exhibition for Graphic Design. There was working being displayed from all three year groups and every member of the BA course had a board, including me! It was a strange experience to have a large crowd of people, who I’m not familiar with observing my work from this year of studies. I have only been used to showcasing my work to my classmates and lecturers. It was also very exciting to see the wide range of talent the college is producing. The quality of work from the 1st and 2nd years was of a high standard and it will be interesting to see how they move forward with the course in the next few years.
The only downside to the night was seeing that one of the items on my board had a print error which I can only imaging was an issue on my side with the file I used whilst preparing my board. It was annoying me for the entire time I was at the show and I felt that I had let myself down as it had ruined the my board and my showcase item on it. Apart from the small mishap it was a good experience to talk to everyone who made it as well as having more of a social time with the lecturers. I am eagerly awaiting my next chance to showcase my work (mistake free) so stay tuned to find out more in the weeks to come!
