Form Magazine

This was a second year editorial project. The brief asked for a 16 page magazine that would be aimed at middle-class, design savvy people. There was a pool of articles included with the brief that ranged from modelling/fashion to high end architecture. I felt that it would be best to chose articles that didn’t have too wide of a scope to keep a flow and rhythm to the magazine. With the majority of my articles looking at innovative design in products and architecture, I wanted my design to be sleek and modern to match my topics. My designs use lots of hard edges and angles to create flow and move the readers eye through each spread without trying to be repetitive and boring. The colour scheme is very cool and mute, for me this was something I hadn’t tried before and it was an interesting challenge to pull off. To finish off the project it was printed on uncoated stock to create to mute the colours and add a tactile feel to the finished magazine.
